Renowned for his contribution to performance art, festival creation, and the preservation of performing arts history, Golf plays an integral role in shaping the region’s cultural landscape. Studio 88 Artist Residency invites artists worldwide to apply for Reviving Nature 2026 in Chiang Mai, Thailand — program dedicated to exploring art, nature, well-being and creative exchange. Ranging from three to eight weeks, the residency takes place from January 4, 2026 to February 28, 2026, in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The deadline to apply for this extended call is November 29, 2025.
We are excited to announce the Studio 88 x NY20+ Residency for Thai Artists and invite applications for the 2026 program. The residency will take place in Chengdu, China, from March – November, 2026. Submission by 20 October 2025.
Studio 88 is pleased to welcome Sujittra Prasert, a Botanical Drawing Artist whose delicate brushstrokes bring Thai flora into luminous life. Her practice is not only about painting—it is about pausing, observing, and finding a deeper connection with nature’s wisdom. Over the years, Sujittra has collaborated with Studio 88 in many creative ways—bringing her vision to life as a visual artist, performer, weaving stories as a puppeteer, and guiding participants as a workshop facilitator.

Franklin Lau is a visual artist and percussionist with over three decades of experience in photography, spanning lifestyle, fashion, and fine art. His artistic journey also embraces music, moving from drumming and djembe to the meditative power of gongs and sound healing. Now based in Chiang Mai, he continues to explore the intersection of image, sound, and culture. Franklin has been a great support to Studio 88 and he enjoys collaborate with our local and international artists.

Studio 88 is honored to welcome Sophon Tabklong aka Toffee, a groundbreaking visually impaired artist, blind dancer, acting coach, performance artist, and disability justice advocate from Thailand. Toffee’s artistic practice expands the boundaries of dance and theatre, offering a transformative perspective on embodiment, perception, and inclusion. He will give a talk, conduct a workshop, and lead an experimental lab titled “The Touch of Movement & Connection” during his time at Studio 88!
