Ben Robinson was born in Dillsboro, a rural town in southern Indiana (USA). He studied photography at Indiana University and received my BFA, along with a minor in Art History, in 2016. He currently lives and works in Bangkok, Thailand. He has had exhibitions in the United States and abroad. He previously joined Studio 88 as an artist-in-residence and has since returned for several exhibitions. In May 2026, he returns once again to present a new body of work, alongside leading a photography and darkroom workshop.

Hilcia Peña
Hilcia Peña is an American, Architect and Artist with a Cuban/Mexican roots, who is currently based in Chiang Mai. Her multidisciplinary practice bridges architecture, design, and storytelling, creating immersive and meaningful experiences. She will present her artwork “Threads of Identities” as part of the Evolving Identities programme at Studio 88 in May 2026.

Tatsuhiro Kurafuji is a Japanese artist, Singapore-based, whose practice moves between myth, ecology, and material imagination, reviving local histories through an intimate dialogue with nature. Joining Studio 88 Artist Residency in April–May 2026 as part of Reviving Nature 2026, he brings a research-driven approach that listens closely to the land—its breath, memory, and unseen rhythms. Rooted in animism and shaped by years of observing how landscapes “desire” and transform, his proposed project in Doi Saket explores the translation of environmental sound into sculptural form, where voiceprints of nature become living, breathing objects.
