Chris McCabe

Chris McCabe is a British poet, visual artist, and educator working between Chiang Mai, Thailand and Da Nang, Vietnam whose interdisciplinary practice explores identity, ecology, and human relationships with the more-than-human world. Selected for the Evolving Identities residency programme at Studio 88 Artist Residency in June 2026, he will further develop Animal Imperatives, an ongoing series of poems and watercolour paintings that reimagines animals as poetic guides for survival, transformation, and coexistence.

A visual artist, printmaker, and installation artist, Parks brings a deeply embodied, place-responsive practice shaped by years of working within coastal, rural, and public landscapes. Her work asks how environments move through us—how land, water, air, and human presence shape our bodies, rhythms, and sense of belonging. Her residency takes place in February 2026 as part of the Reviving Nature programme.

Studio 88 is pleased to welcome Dr Greg Pritchard as an artist-in-residence: a deeply curious, multi-disciplinary contemporary artist whose practice moves fluidly across writing, visual art, performance, digital media, installation and conceptual work. Across decades of practice, Pritchard has consistently returned to one central concern: how humans see themselves in relation to the more-than-human world, and what damage is done when we imagine ourselves as exceptional. It is our pleasure to welcome Viengphet Thongmalith (Noynit) as an Artist-in-Residence at Studio 88. Noynit is a Laos visual artist whose painting practice is deeply influenced by everyday life, social surroundings, and the emotional landscape of contemporary Laos society. Her work emerges from close observation of people, environments, and shared experiences, translating them into vivid and expressive visual narratives. Noynit is a member of Lost Jigsaw, Artist Collectives from Laos.

Samphasit Luangaphai

It is our pleasure to welcome Samphasit Luangaphai (Dano) as an Artist-in-Residence at Studio 88. Dano is a Laos visual artist whose practice is deeply informed by Buddhism, nature, and spiritual reflection. His work emerges from long-term self-discovery, drawing connections between inner awareness, belief systems, and the natural world. Dano is a member of Lost Jigsaw.
