Lilly Kaiser

Lilly Kaiser is an artist and arts educator whose painting practice centres on narrative, place, and the observational study of desert flora. Through this meditative and grounding process, she invites intuition, play, and expressive experimentation. Based in Alice Springs, Australia, Lilly is excited to to explore flora and fauna of Chiang Mai where she joins Studio 88 as an Artist-in-Residence for the Reviving Nature program in January 2026. Lilly Kaiser’s residency is supported by Northern Territory Grants – NT Grants and Charles Darwin University.

Ghazi Sikander Mirza

Ghazi Sikander Mirza is a visual artist, designer, and theatre practitioner from Lahore, Pakistan, whose practice moves between drawing, painting, performance, and spatial storytelling. He joins Studio 88 as an Artist-in-Residence as part of the Reviving Nature program in January 2026.

Willie Xaiwouth

It is our pleasure to welcome Willie Xaiwouth as an Artist-in-Residence at Studio 88. Willie is a Laos multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores memory, identity, ecology, and cultural change through painting, installation, photography, and animation. Rooted in personal experience and local knowledge, Willie’s work reflects on the complex relationship between people, nature, and the shifting conditions of contemporary life. Willie is a member of Lost Jigsaw, an arts-initiatives based in Laos.

Studio 88 Artist Residency is proud to welcome Reyhaneh Afzalian as our first-ever Iranian artist-in-residence, joining us for the June 2025 program. A multidisciplinary visual artist based in Tehran, Reyhaneh brings a thoughtful and evolving practice that bridges drawing, painting, sculpture, and land art. During her time at Studio 88, Reyhaneh will explore the intersection of landscape and identity through sculptural forms and temporary interventions, deepening her investigation into material, nature, and cultural resonance.

Jack Hyslop is a multimedia artist, writer, and musician from Los Angeles, California, whose work reimagines discarded materials into thought-provoking creations. Jack explores themes of everyday beauty, overconsumption, and humanity’s impact on the natural world through collage and reconstruction. His artistic practice celebrates sustainability, often incorporating reused or secondhand materials from online marketplaces, roadside donations, and community exchanges.
