Studio 88 Artist Residency was honoured to host Adam Geczy, an artist, writer, and educator. During his time at the residency, he immersed himself in the local culture, capturing raw video footage and creating a series of black-and-white faux-film stills. The residency provided an ideal setting for reflection and creative development, inspiring ideas for a new performance project. Geczy, an accomplished artist and writer, found Studio 88 to be a space for deep artistic engagement, free from distractions. We’re excited to welcome Pornpilin Tancharoen, Art Therapist and Abstract Painter, to Studio 88. Pornpilin, aka Zign, is dedicated her art practice to disability advocacy. She has collaborated with blind and non-blind artists to explore sensory-based art, including developing scent-labeled paint to enhance artistic expression. Through her workshops, she fosters self-healing and empowerment by integrating multi-sensory experiences into the creative process.
