Jonathan Armour and Thai artists at the Base Box Theatre, Thailand Creative & Design Centre, Chiang Mai, Thailand

Jonathan Armour, an Irish artist based in London, was drawn to the residency at Studio 88 because it explores aspects of identity, particularly gender, which is a core aspect of his practice. Coming to Thailand, where gender has a different cultural context, provides an opportunity to view these concepts from a new perspective.
