Studio 88 Artist Residency proudly introduces our creative collaborators, Pattarine Fontaine, Co-Founder/Producer at Aglaia Docufilms, and Rath Chun, Co-Founder/Content Creator/Creative Director at Aglaia Docufilms. Both artists bring rich international experience and a distinctive creative vision that aligns with Studio 88’s mission to foster cross-cultural dialogue through the arts.

Pattarine Fontaine holds a BA in Liberal Arts from Thammasat University and an MA in Hotel Management from Strathclyde University, Glasgow. Living in Paris since 1996, she is a former Vice President of the Thai Women Association in France (Association Solidarité Thaïe en France) and a former Editor-in-Chief of Boudsaba—a Thai magazine for the Thai community in France. A natural encourager and cinephile, Pattarine connects people to their passions and dreams. She is a mother, producer, and co-director of Aglaia Docufilms.

Rath Chun is a documentary filmmaker with a background in architecture. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Chulalongkorn University, followed by graduate studies at l’École Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris-Belleville and an MA in Screen Documentary from Goldsmiths, University of London. Rath is fascinated by the art of image-making across disciplines—filmmaking, photography, and outdoor painting—using these mediums to reveal the extraordinary within the ordinary. For him, the camera serves as a stage for dialogue between the inner voice and the outer world, transforming unseen moments into visual narratives that evoke meaning and reflection.
A Dynamic Collaboration with Studio 88
At Studio 88, we value the intersection of global perspectives and local voices. Rath and Pattarine embody this spirit through their creative partnership at Aglaia Docufilms. Their international experience and deep understanding of transnational identities enrich the cultural landscape of our programs.
As part of our Evolving Identities residency programme in June 2025, Studio 88 is pleased to feature Rath Chun and Pattarine Fontaine in several key events, co-curated with Chaiwat Lochotinant, that showcase their distinctive approach to storytelling and image-making:
