Thailand is getting lively with arts and creative events towards the end of the year. So, if you plan your visit to Thailand, here are a list of some interesting events for art lovers and creative people to check out! Studio 88 wishes you an enjoyable and creative exploration!

1 to 15 December 2019
Chiangmai Design Week (CMDW19), an annual festival of craft and design in the city of Chiangmai, showcasing work from established designers and design professionals. It is also a platform for exchange between established and emerging designers, and local craft communities.

5 to 11 December 2019
NAP2019, the Nimmanhaemin Art and Design Promenade is one of pioneer in design market in Chiangmai and is still going, now in its 20th edition. This is where number of local designers launch their new collection.

6 to 8 December 2019
Phrae Craft is an event organised by the network of craftsmen and creative businesses in Phrae, a small northern province in Thailand. The city is famous for teak tress and Mor Hom, which is natural indigo dye derived from plants.

7 to 15 December 2019
Chiang Mai Crafts Fair 2019, initiated by the Chiang Mai City of Crafts and Folk Art under the concept of “Preserving Local Music for the Future” is an event in which local arts, cultures, crafts and ways of life are presented through a variety of activities suitable for everyone.
7 to 8 December 2019
Chiangmai Film Craft, an event for passionate lovers of film, cameras and photography. There is a film market, photography workshops, film developing workshops, and a photo exhibition.
7, 8, 14 and 15 December 2019
Loang Him Kao market features a slow-life concept. It is just a short drive from the old city, by the Kao River in Sankampaeng District. It’s a village with a tradition of arts and crafts by the Mon community and famous for its cotton.

9 to 11 December 2019
Sriprakard iChi, is hosting a dual event; Enjoy the Moment and Time Travel Meeting by the Thais and the Japanese. Sriprakard is an initiative to bring back the tradition of living in an old wooden building built in 1905. Over the years, the house was used as a kindergarden, a clinic and a printing business. After World War II, it was converted into the Sri Prakard Hotel until it closed down in 2002.

12 to 16 December 2019
Wonderfruit, is a celebration of art, music, food and ideas to catalyse positive impact. The festival takes place at the fields at Siam Country Club, in Pattaya.

19 to 22 December 2019
Sakon Hed is an initiative of a group of local artisans working on crafts, local dishes, organic products and social enterprises. The city is in the north-eastern part of Thailand.
21 to 25 December 2019
Sawasdee Craft #4, a crafs event organised by Baan Kang Wat, a small community located in the Wat Umong area opposite Wat Rampoeng in Chiangmai. This craft village is made up of around 10 unique houses, centred around an outdoor communal area and amphitheatre.

Bangkok Design Week, a creative and design festival that takes place across creative districts, such as Charoenkrung, Khlong San, Rama 1 and Sukhumvit.
