We’re excited to welcome Pornpilin Tancharoen, Art Therapist and Abstract Painter, to Studio 88. Pornpilin, aka Zign, is dedicated her art practice to disability advocacy. She has collaborated with blind and non-blind artists to explore sensory-based art, including developing scent-labeled paint to enhance artistic expression. Through her workshops, she fosters self-healing and empowerment by integrating multi-sensory experiences into the creative process.

Studio 88 Artist Residency welcomes Dr Matt Yoxall, a theatre-maker, storyteller, leadership coach, and published academic with a diverse background in storytelling and community engagement. Trained in theatre in London in the mid-1990s, Matt has worked extensively as a professional storyteller, particularly in museum and art gallery education, as well as community cultural development.

We’re excited to welcome Jasmine Baksh, a sculptor and multidisciplinary artist, to Studio 88. Based in Clifton, New Jersey, Jasmine’s work is deeply autobiographical, shaped by personal experiences and memories that explore themes of domestic violence, hidden emotions, and instability. Through her confessional art, she transforms difficult life experiences into powerful visual narratives, using sculpture as a language to communicate what words often cannot.

Known for her bold, surrealist paintings, Abi’s work explores the intersections of identity, culture, and the lasting impact of colonial histories. Her art challenges dominant narratives, using vivid imagery to confront themes of postcolonialism, education, and the complexities of personal and collective memory.
