A space for artists and therapists to recreate, restore, and share artistic and healing practices.

Studio 88 Artist Residency invites applications for SoulScapes: The Healing Arts Residency, an immersive program designed for artists, art therapists, and healing practitioners seeking a dedicated space to explore, regenerate, and exchange holistic healing practices. This residency fosters a nurturing environment where creativity and well-being intersect, supporting those who work in healing arts to deepen their practice, restore balance, and share transformative methods.

Residency Focus Areas
Residents are encouraged to engage with one or more of the following practices:
• Art Therapy – Utilizing artistic expression as a tool for emotional and psychological healing.
• Forest Therapy – Connecting with nature to promote relaxation, reflection, and renewal.
• Sensation Therapy – Exploring sensory experiences to restore mind-body balance.
• Sound Therapy – Using sound vibrations and music for emotional and physical healing.
• Water Therapy – Embracing the therapeutic properties of water in movement, meditation, and artistic exploration.
• Transformation Game – Engaging in guided self-discovery and personal transformation techniques.
• Cleansing & Regeneration – Rituals and practices that aid in emotional and energetic cleansing.
• Balancing – Techniques and artistic processes that align and harmonize the body-mind-spirit.
• Yoga & Massage – Integrating movement and touch therapy for deep relaxation and restoration.
• Empowering Therapy– A space to revitalize practitioners, fostering self-care and resilience.

Who Should Apply?
We welcome:
• Visual artists, performing artists, and interdisciplinary creatives incorporating healing practices in their work.
• Art therapists, sound healers, movement practitioners, yoga instructors, and holistic wellness professionals.
• Individuals dedicated to self-care, deep healing, and knowledge-sharing within therapeutic arts.

Expectations
• Residents will engage in their individual or collaborative healing/artistic practice.
• Each participant is encouraged to share an element of their work (workshop, talk, or performance) within the community.
• Active participation in the communal aspects of the residency, fostering a supportive environment.
• Possibility to participate in an open studio showcasing artwork and creative work created during the residency

How to Apply
Interested applicants should submit:

1. A statement of intent (500 words max) outlining your practice, residency goals, and how you plan to engage with healing arts.
2. A portfolio or examples of previous work (images, video links, or descriptions).
3. A CV or bio highlighting relevant experience.
4. Preferred residency duration (3–8 weeks) and availability within the program dates.
5. Submit an application and supporting document online.

Residency Fee
There is no application fee. The residency fee will be applied only upon acceptance, based on the residency fee and services listed on our website.

Selection Process
Studio 88 will select the participating artists. Selected artists will be notified via email in end of May 2025 and in end of June 2025.
