Lin Myat is a Yangon-based guitarist, songwriter, and music educator whose practice moves fluidly between pop, jazz, funk, and Brazilian music. With a Bachelor of Science from the University of West Yangon and a Diploma of Music from the Eulogia Centre of Music, Lin brings both academic grounding and lived musical experience to his work. Lin is invited as a Collaborative Artist at Studio 88.

Active in Myanmar’s music scene since 2016, Lin released his first pop EP in 2019 and has continued to shape a distinctive voice through original instrumental projects and songwriting. His playing is marked by soulful acoustic textures and rhythmic sensitivity—music that listens as much as it speaks.
Alongside his creative practice, Lin is deeply committed to music education. He has taught at a range of private and international schools and is the founder of The Center of Music, nurturing young musicians with care and rigor. Since 2022, he has served as both administrator and guitarist at the Myanmar Jazz Club (MJC), contributing to the growth of the local jazz community.
Lin performs widely as a guitarist with Salty Wishes, the jazz/pop ensemble Arsina, and his own band The Clef, and collaborates across borders, including performances in Chiang Mai. He is also a member of the independent label Inappropriate Thoughts (iAT), supporting emerging alternative sounds in Myanmar, while continuing to develop his upcoming solo work.
