Studio 88 is inviting applications from artists of all disciplines who engage with themes of climate, environment, and sustainability for the Reviving Nature 2025 Artist Residency, taking place from January 10 to February 6, 2025, in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
[Update] We have some spaces available from January 24 to February 6, 2025. The deadline to apply for this extended call is December 15, 2024.
The goal of this program is to raise awareness and inspire action through artistic expression. We aim to encourage both local and international audiences to think critically about environmental issues and explore how art can play a role in restoring natural ecosystems.
We welcome artists from diverse disciplines, including but not limited to film and video, literary arts, performing arts, sound and music, and visual arts. You don’t need to be an expert in air pollution, climate change, agriculture, food security, deforestation, light pollution, waste management, or water contamination; we’re looking for creative approaches that can provide fresh perspectives on these pressing environmental challenges. Whether this is a new area of focus for you or not, we encourage you to bring your curiosity and genuine interest in exploring the topic.
Application Process
Please apply online here. Your application should include a CV, a 100-word biographical note, and a 250-word statement outlining why you wish to participate in the program and what work you propose to develop.

Studio 88 will select the participating artists, continuing our ongoing work in environmental sustainability.
Selected artists will be notified via email by December 15, 2024.
