Firdy Arman is a seasoned arts practitioner and management consultant with over 20 years of international experience across Asia, Europe, and the United States. Holding a BA (First Class Honours) degree in Arts Management from LASALLE College of the Arts (Singapore) and a Master’s degree in Management from the prestigious London School of Economics, Firdy combines a deep understanding of the arts with a solid foundation in strategic business administration and arts management.
With a decade-long tenure at Ernst & Young LLP in London and New York City, where Firdy provided strategic advice to Fortune 500 companies and technology start-ups, showcasing their versatility in both corporate and artistic spheres. Subsequent professional experiences include serving as Assistant Manager at The Arts Fission Company (Singapore) from 2003 to 2007, where Firdy honed their skills in arts management. They then joined the National Arts Council (Singapore) as Marketing and Partnership Development Manager from 2008 to 2009, contributing significantly to the cultural landscape in Singapore through the Singapore Arts Festival and Singapore Biennale among other national arts development programs in the city-state.
Firdy’s international experience expanded further with a role as a Cultural Exchange Officer at the Asia Europe Foundation from 2009 to 2010. This period broadened Firdy’s understanding of international arts dynamics as a funding institution for independent film-making and the performing arts. In 2023, Firdy embarked on the entrepreneurial journey as the managing founder of ROUNDCOLLAB Contemporary Asian Art gallery. He has been serving as a US-based arts management consultant in New York, NY and San Francisco, CA since 2021.
As a dynamic professional, Firdy specializes in providing strategic advice and coaching to optimize business models, expand revenue streams, and create end-to-end business ecosystems. His expertise extends to marketing strategy and establishing corporate partnerships/sponsorships for various entities, including established artists, creative entrepreneurs, small and large arts organizations, as well as NGOs and social enterprises.
Firdy’s extensive background includes contributions to notable arts programs and cultural organizations such as the Singapore Arts Festival, Singapore Biennale, The Tate Modern (UK), The British Museum (UK), New York City Roundtable for Arts Education, Decoda Chamber Music Orchestra (New York, NY) and The Intersection for the Arts (San Francisco, California).
