Words from Aom about the Sørfinnset skole the Nordland project
I was the manager at the land foundation where I met Geir and Søssa. I am delighted to congratulate on the 20th year anniversary of the Sørfinnset/Nordland project!!
My fond memory of Sørfinnset was when we had artistic collaboration and brought a group of a dozen young artists to Norway for a one-month residency program.
It was a transformative experience to collaborate with talented artists from different backgrounds, all coming together to create something magical. We had the privilege of building a Thai house by the serene lake, surrounded by the breath-taking Norwegian landscape. The beauty of the surroundings and the warmth of the local people made the celebration even more special. It was a true celebration of art, culture, and friendship.

Thanks to Kamin, Rirkirt, Gier and Søssa for the initiative and local collaborators like Kenneth, Karoline, all supporters and everyone involved, the experiences from Sørfinnset and the land have had a significant impact on both my artistic practice and my life.
The philosophy of the land foundation and Sørfinnset, with its emphasis on sustainable living and harmony with nature, resonated deeply with me. It inspired me to incorporate these principles into my own work, focusing on creativity and sustainable thinking.
In fact, the impact was so profound that I established Studio 88 Artist Residency, a space dedicated to fostering creativity and sustainable thinking, based in the northern Thai town of Doi Saket, just 30 minutes from the creative city of Chiangmai, Thailand.
