Sara Wolman – Returning Artist-In-Residence

We are delighted to welcome Sara Wolman back to Studio 88 as a returning Artist-in-Residence! Sara is an accomplished artist and environmental advocate whose work bridges the worlds of art, nature, and science. Her practice reflects a profound respect for the natural world, which she channels into innovative creations designed to inspire awe, empathy, and action.

Sara’s art blends traditional mediums with modern technologies like augmented reality, offering immersive and interactive experiences that make complex environmental themes both accessible and engaging. Drawing inspiration from parallels between migratory paths and our interconnected global society, her work emphasizes our shared responsibility to protect the planet. Each piece serves as a call to reconnect with nature and with one another, fostering a collective commitment to environmental stewardship.

In her previous residency, Sara described Studio 88 as a place of profound inspiration, where she could immerse herself in the creative process while drawing deeply from the surrounding environment. This year, she returns to further explore the intricate ties between human understanding and nature’s resilience, using her art to raise awareness and spark meaningful dialogue about pressing global issues like climate change.

We’re honoured to support Sara’s ongoing journey and look forward to seeing how her visionary work evolves during this residency.
