In February and March 2024 Brazilian artist Mariangela Ratto was an artist-in-residence at Studio 88. Here she told us a bit about her experience and what she got up to during the residency, which was centered around one of the most pressing issues of our time: pollution.
“Studio 88 Art Residency provided me with an exceptional, creative, and welcoming environment. My artistic production flowed very smoothly and responsibly.
The entire Studio 88 team spared no effort to support my artistic work. We had meetings with several artists, writers, architects, teachers, and activists, visited exhibitions, and participated in openings, which integrated us into the artistic scene in Chiang Mai. These were all special, unique moments of much reflection. There is much to be thankful for!“
