Oscar is a talented and innovative composer and self-proclaimed “sound explorer”, who, using a special technique, captures frequencies beyond human hearing and manipulates them to give the listener “new dimensions of sound”.
Throughout his artistic career, Oscar has worked on nature, pollution, noise pollution and the decline of species through various sound projects, including video games, collaborative albums and his music.
During the residency he will explore the idea of sound pollution. He intents to record sound in Thailand and combine it with some of his previous recordings of nature. I would like to explore creating something that could counteract the “attack” of the pollution that is present both in the sound and the environment.
