Diewke van den Heuvel is a mixed media artist from the Netherlands joining us at Reviving Nature: Pollution Alert Artist Residency in February 2024. Learn more about her work here!
Diewke works on activism through the lens of a camera, as a photographer, filmmaker and installation artist. Her work as an artist is deeply intertwined with her concern for the pressing issues of climate change and inequality. She believes that art has the power to inspire change, and that artists have the responsibility to use their skills and platforms to raise awareness and encourage action.

Documentary Festival in Eindhoven in 2019
During the residency Diewke will explore air pollution from agricultural fires in Chiang Mai through art. She aims to amplify the voices of those affected, evoke empathy, and shed light on the urgency of addressing this issue.
Diewke secured a grant from Cultuur Eindhoven to participate in the Reviving Nature residency.
